На счёт выше указанных системных плат ни чего не скажу. А вот на asus P5GC-MX 
вчера поставил ALD4.0.1. Кроме встроенной сетевой инсталер всё железо 
опознал. После обновления системы до 4.1 и замены ядра с 2.6.18 на 2.6.24 (от 
lakostis@ ) работает всё нормально, нареканий нет (обновление системы до 4.1 
и смена ядра мной изначально планировалась). Железо на том компе такое:

Можеь и не показатель, но compiz заработал сразу после установки и без всяких 
проблем.
