[altlinux-announce-en] Distribution Release: ALT Server Virtualization 10.1

Good day!

We are glad to present the update of operating system «ALT Server 
Virtualization» 10.1 on the platform 10 (p10 Aronia). The assembly is 
prepared for the x86_64 and AArch64. The operating system is designed 
for use on servers and helps implement virtualization functions in the 
corporate infrastructure. A docker service is available. Developers can 
use registry images to create derivatives and upload it to the registry.

New features 10.1
* System environment based on kernel std-def-5.10, systemd 249.13.
* The kernel-modules-drm package has been added to the installer. It 
provides higher performance for graphics hardware (for AArch64 platforms).
* Use GRUB (grub-pc) instead of syslinux in the Legacy BIOS image.
* Support for NUMA memory optimization (numactl) in case a basic 
virtualization scenario based on kvm+libvirt+qemu.
* Support of multipath for creating network storage (multipathd is 
included in the installer by default).
* Etcnet is used by default in the Network Settings. It allows you to 
configure the network manually. Administrator privileges are required to 
work with configuration files.
* CRI-O instead of Docker in Kubernetes.
* PVE 7.2 virtualization management system with support for new services 
and settings. Linux kernel 5.15. Also updated are QEMU 6.2, LXC 4.0, 
Ceph 16.2.7 and OpenZFS 2.1.4.
* The amount of supported vCPUs for hypervisor hosts has been increased 
to allow for more powerful hardware to deploy a virtualization 
management system.
* Key components versions for creating, managing and monitoring a 
virtual circuit have been updated.

* Podman 3.4.
* Apache 2.4.
* SSSD 2.8.
* PVE 7.2.
* FreeIPA 4.9.
* QEMU 6.2.
* Ansible 2.9.
* Libvirt 8.0.
* MariaDB 10.6.

Official container images updated in the container registry

Maintenance documentation has also been updated.

The major release of ALT Server Virtualization 10.0 was in January 2022.

The new version of the distribution kit is based on the stable branch of 
the Platform 10 repository and does not involve incompatible changes 
when moving to 10.1. For new corporate users it is possible to obtain 
test versions and traditionally private users are offered to download 
the required version of the ALT OS for free from the BaseALT Ltd. 
website or from the download site.
