Аналогично. Хожу с xorg-6.9.0-alt на xorg-1.0.1-alt5, в итоге
перенаправление в ауте:

$ gvim
X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication.
The application 'gvim' lost its connection to the display localhost:10.0;
most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed
the application.
