А еще для полного счастья меня ждал сюрприз с VMware.. всегда после  
очередного обновления ядра стоило лишь выбрать нужную версию gcc  
(select-gcc) и запустить vmware-config.pl . С 2.6.10 такой номер не  
прошел... Не понял, что же ему нужно... хидерсы ядра вроде тоже  
установлены...
