[sisyphus] xorg-x11-dr*-intel + i855GM + intel driver = BSOD

Дано: МБМ ThinkPad R50e, i855GM видео.

в xorg.conf драйвер intel.

Наблюдаются black screen of death при выводе видео через xvideo. Но,
похоже, только после того, как отключается внешний монитор (включается
через xrandr --output VGA --mode какое-нибудь --above LVDS, выключается
через xrandr --output VGA --off). После этого через какое-то время (очень
часто -- после возвращения на тот виртуальный экран, на котором крутится
видео, либо после alt-tab по окнам на этом экране, при том, что вывод
xvideo перекрывается другими окнами).

Есть ли у кого идеи, что это и как лечить? Драйвер i810 не подходит
потому, что не умеет нормально выводить на второй монитор.

Ну и плюс еще с новым xorg-x11-server не работает autorepeat, приходится
принудительно в ~/.xsession.d/ пихать xset r rate 200 3.
