[sisyphus] inittab's wait

Здравствуйте, community!

"Непонятки" с "wait" в строках inittab. Согласно man:

wait   The process will be started once when the specified runlevel  is
        entered and init will wait for its termination.

cat /etc/inittab:
...
l3:3:wait:/etc/rc.d/rc 3
...

Выполняю:

[root на mx root]# init 3
INIT: switching to runlevel: 3
[root на mx root]#
<далее вывод запущенного скрипта /etc/rc.d/rc>

Что-то не пойму. init завершился и вернул промпт, а скрипт выполняется.
И вовсе он не ожидает завершения... :-/
