Здравствуйте!

Подробнее:

1. От юзера не запускается с вышеизложенной руганью;

2. От рута не запускается так:

[aaa на ws1 aaa]$ su
Password:
[root на ws1 aaa]# MOZILLA_XFT=0 mozilla
grep: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
cut: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
sed: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

3. Но запускается так:

[aaa на ws1 aaa]$ su -
Password:
[root на ws1 aaa]# MOZILLA_XFT=0 mozilla
grep: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
cut: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
sed: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Несмотря на абсолютно идентичную ругань.
Может, что-то не то с правами доступа куда-нить?
Но я их вручную точно не менял нигде.
