[Homeros] помогите разобраться в скрипте /usr/bin/startx

     мне надо сменить unity на gnome. я пытался сделать это через 
xinitrc, но у меня наблюдаются какиято странности: сразу после запуска 
иксы как-бы встают на паузу. orca ни на что не реагирует, перемещаться 
не куда не получается и первая вертуальная консоль оказывается занятой 
иксами, хотя при нормальной работе она свободна. скрипт startx, при 
использовании которого всё работает как надо во вложении.
