Доброго всем времени суток!
Еще раз внимательно посмотрел dmesg.
Нашел еще одну проблему:
NFORCE2: BIOS didn't set cable bits correctly. Enabling workaround.
ide: Assuming 33MHz system bus speed for PIO modes; override with

М.б. обе проблемы связаны?
