[Desktop] Не стабилиная работа

Примерно месяц назад установил ALD и сразу впал в недоумение.
Дело в том, что компьютер зависает с периодичностью от 30 мин до 2 
часов. Вначале я думал это связано с нестабильностью ядра, но 
долговременное  наблюдение показало, что это вроде бы не подтверждается. 
Зависания также происходят при старте системы чаще всего при поднятии 
/dev и network. Часто до загрузки графической среды доползаю с 3-5 раза. 
Иэто уже достало.
Раньше у меня стоял Sisyphus x64 и все работало крайне стабильно, я не 
помню ни одного зависания, за исключением случаев, когда я отлаживал 
модули ядра под плату сбора информации - но это нормально.
Как мне кажется в данный момент причиной нестабильности является udev. 
Подходы с разных сторон к этому зверю успеха пока не принесли. Посему 
есть вопросы:
1 Как заставить работать udev по частям, с целью локализации 
нестабильной области?
2 Какие есть приемы отладки udev?
3 Какую внятную документацию посоветуете?
4 Вообще требуются всякие полезные советы кто что придумает.
