[Comm] Не запускается графический режим

Всем доброго дня!

Ситуация такова: имелся комп с Алт т6, HP Elite 7100 MT и с нвидиевской
видеокартой, пришедшей в комплекте. Работал - работал и за неделю до
окончания трёхлетней гарантии :-) накрылась видюха.

Комп был отправлен на гарантийный ремонт, а винты были переставлены в
совершенно другую машину - HP Compaq d330 на P4. Для одного из ядер был
перегенерирован initrd, и все пошло.

Через пару-другую недель комп был возвращен, как сообщили - была заменена
видеокарта (хотя я здорово подозреваю, что поменяли весь мазер). Я воткнул
винты обратно, повозился пару часов с сеткой (eth0, а не eth1 :-))), и
обнаружил, что не могу запустить графический режим.

Загрузка в init 5 - текстовый режим. Запуск startx с командной строки -
вываливается с ошибкой. Привожу кусок Xorg.0.log:

Как видно, пытается работать на карте Интел. Интересно, что на мазере есть
интеловская видеокарта, есть и разъемы сзади для подключения, но даже БИОС
её не видит, не говоря уж о Линуксе:

Пытался прописать драйвер nvidia в xorg.conf - безрезультатно (сам этот
файл также сгенерил заново).

В работоспособности графической подсистемы убедился, загрузив с флешки
убунту. Честно говоря, сильное искушение плюнуть и перейти, тем более что
два ноута на убунте давно, но лень и куча чего установлено - это же рабочая
машина...

В общем, помогите, люди добрые, где копать?
