На ноуте установлен Бранч 5.1 со всеми обновлениями. Недавно обнаружил
такой фокус: если фаерфокс запущен относительно долго, то при попытке
просмотреть в нем флеш-ролик - с ютуба, например - приводит к тому,
что сначала звука нет вообще, потом - через секунд 10 - препывистые
звуки какие-то, а затем какой-то короткий кусок звуковой дорожки -
полсекунды если не меньше - бесконечно зацикленный... В общем-то, там
и не помнешь, что это, какая-то вибрация звуковая. Единственный способ
навести порядок - убить фокса и запустить заново.

При этом звук, например, воспроизводимого фильма никак не страдает.
