[Comm] X & black monitor

Здравствуйте дамы и господа!
ALD-4.0.1 + banch. 
Видеодрайвер - i915, ViewSonic - VX715 (17'), 
в LILO : vga="normal", 
xorg.conf, Xorg.log - прилагаются
X-ы запускаются руками по мере необходимости startx.
по выходу из X-ов имеем чёрный квадрат Малевича (no signal), 
Ctr+Atl+F12 тоже. Кажется началось после atp-get 
dist-upgrade из branch. Как побороть, где смотреть?
