[Comm] Как работает gnome-bluetooth?

Имеется Bluetooth USB Dongle Epox BT-DG02A
система на ядре 2.6.7
gnome-bluetooth последний сизифовский

Пробую с помощью gnome-bluetooth-manager-а найти телефон (Ericsson R520)
1. подключаю донгл:
usb 2-2: new full speed USB device using address 5
2. включаю на телефоне bluetooth, и отправляю его в "discoverable"
3. запускаю gnome-bluetooth-manager
4. выбираю Devices\Scan:
hci_cmd_task: hci0 command tx timeout

сам менеджер сильно задумывается.
что не так? возможно нужно что-то ручками настраивать?
