Верните sendmail-common на место (apt-get -f install sendmail-common).

Ещё раз повторяю: sendmail-common не является частью sendmail,
несмотря на своё название. (И, кстати, отправка почты через вызов
/usr/sbin/sendmail используется очень многими программами, поэтому все
другие реализации (postfix и т.п.) подставляют свою программу именно
под именем sendmail.)
