Прошу прощения поспешил.
Во первых было рекомендовано проверить настроен ли framebuffer и mtrr,
насколько понял документацию можно просто посмотреть файл /proc/fb и
/proc/mtrr, вот их содержание
fb:
0 VESA VGA
mtrr:
reg00: base=0xe0000000 (3584MB), size= 8MB: write-combining, count=1
Вроде это означает что все настроено и работает.
Во вторых на одном фильме mplayer тормозил и одно из рекомендация было
использовать alsa. Я установил соответствующий пакет и modprobe запустил
драйвер установил с помощью alsamixer параметры каналов но mplayer
молчит(но проигрывает картинку),как и kde.Что не так?

Имеет ли это смысл и как это сделать, кажется просто rpm`ом не обойтись
(в смысле автоматической сборке из src.rpm).
