[mdk-re] Fetchmail stopped fetching mail, considering it all read

У меня проблема с Fetchmail. Он неожиданно перестал забирать почту по POP3 с
pop.mail.yahoo.com. Что самое странное, до этого он работал без проблем.
А вчера почта в /var/spool/mail/user попадать перестала. К ящику на
pop.mail.yahoo.com я обращаюсь поочередно, то из НТ (The Bat!), то из Линукс
(fetchmail). В fetchmailrc стоят опции "забирать только новую почту" и
"оставлять почту на сервере". Как я понял из лога, fetchmail считает _всю_
почту, находящуюся в ящике, "старой", т. е. как будто он ее уже скачал во
время предыдущих сеансов. Вполне возможно (даже скорее всего), что причина
не в fetchmail, а в POP-сервере, как-то "не так" отрабатывающем LAST. Но мне
важно понять не "кто виноват", а "что делать". Т. е. как все-таки читать
свою почту. Стандартный ответ "переходи на IMAP" мне не подходит, Yahoo не
дает IMAP-доступа. Вот кусок лога. Сначала в ящике было 47 писем...

...затем стало 48 (между этими событиями никто к ящику не прикасался), и
48-е письмо считается почему-то прочитанным:
