Yup, I know, i was just telling you what I prefer, having plymouth off,
and using lilo.
Plus sometimes the disks entered into fsck and I didn't know what took
so long, it did not want to get out of the plymouth screen.
Some while ago the newest m-p did not work on 5.0/5.1 installs, and it
didn't accept disabling plymouth. So as you know I forked and made some
changes on that older m-p and am still using it for small setups :D
