[Backports] subversion, squid - не ставятся из бэкпортов

Добрый день!

У меня ALT Master 2.4. Добавил бэкпорты в /etc/apt/sources.list:

rpm ftp://ftp.linux.kiev.ua/pub/Linux/ALT/backports 2.4/i586 backports

, сделал sudo apt-get update, ошибок при этом не было. все вытянул.
При попытке поставить subversion говорит:

[lvu на LVU lvu]$ sudo apt-get install subversion

На другой машине, где включены updates и backports:

rpm ftp://ftp.linux.kiev.ua/pub/Linux/ALT/updates Master/2.4/i586 updates
rpm-src ftp://ftp.linux.kiev.ua/pub/Linux/ALT/updates Master/2.4/i586 
updates
rpm ftp://ftp.linux.kiev.ua/pub/Linux/ALT/backports 2.4/i586 backports
rpm-src ftp://ftp.linux.kiev.ua/pub/Linux/ALT/backports 2.4/i586 backports

, пытаюсь переставить сквид (чтобы прикрутить к нему сизифный sarg - тот 
squid,
который родной в ALM2.4, не предоставляет пакета squid-server, как я понял).
В результате:

[root на mail root]# apt-get install squid
Reading Package Lists... Done

После того, как убрал апдейты - все заработало, т.е. предложило
поставить кучу пакетов. Я отказался, вернул апдейты - и снова все
нормально. Реальную установку пока не делал.

В чем может быть дело? В первом случае у меня вообще никаких
предположений, кроме "неправильного" зеркала, во втором - может,
полетела какая-то apt'овская база?
