Архивировать и делать это архив абсолютно недоступным для оперативного просмотра, совершенно не хочется.</p>

Я помолчу, что импорт почтового архива (созданного kmail 1.13.7, это, как выясниось, единственный приемлимый способ импорта, автоматиченский просто умирает), длилась почти 140 часов, причём пришлось разделять архив на мелкие части с импортом каждой мелкой папки отдельно. И при этом mysqld если и не ставит колом всю систему, то очень близко к этому. И это на достаточно мощной (x86_64, 4Гб ОЗУ, процесор 2х ядерый, но вполне себе приемлимый AMD) конфигурации.</p>

Почта то ли отправится, то ли нет. выбранное в папке письмо то ли будет показано, то ли нет --- вообще непонятно, в зависимости от чего (сразу оговорюсь, все конфигурации чистые).</p>
<p style=" margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;">Любой поиск хочет полнотекстовую индексацию почты (полная глупость на больших объёмах)... и всё равно не работает.</p>

Даже не игрушка, симулякр. Действующий макет, жизненно важные части которого склеены рассыпающейся жвачкой. Может быть, оно годится для работы с imap аккаунтами и сравнительно небольшими объёмами почты, но ни для какой серьёзной работы надеятся на него решительно нельзя. Очень хочется посмотреть в глаза разработчикам и спросить, каким местом они думали и особенно, каким местом думал проектировщик взаимодействия с БД. Боюсь ошибиться, но здорово подозреваю, что место такое есть, а слова, его обозначающего, нету.</p>

На весьма скромных объёмах почты. Можно только ещё раз заключить, что лежащие в основе всей этой механики идеи, в реальной жизни, ни к чёрту не годятся.</p>
