ну дык  вон  народ  в  ruby-talk  аутглюком  рулит  --  нешто  dfb
разрулить сложнее? а вот писать враппер -- это да, это  не  только
сложно (и подразумевает _хорошее_ знание C &  CPP),  но  и  просто
нудно.

то есть вопрос в том -- есть ли в винде стандартный  odbc  драйвер
для dbf-ок. если есть -- смотри ruby-odbc  и  ruby-dbi.  есть  еще
такая штука как ADO, с темой связано, но я даже приблизительно  не
представляю что это  такое.  как  last-resort  --  смотри  на  эти
Delphi-евские  драйвера  про  которые  в  квотинге  упоминается --
откуда они такие растут.

то есть я бы думал в такой последовательности :-)
